CALL TO ORDER (Time 6:35)

  • Community Resource Officer Rubin Garduno
  • 5 days, 5 shootings in Denver area – all related suspects have been caught
    • Burglaries are up in Fort Logan but robberies are down
    • More officers will be assigned to are South of Yale in 2018
    • More clubs for wheels are available.
  • COUNCILMAN FLYNN/ DANA
    • Potential buyer for the old Walmart space– still confidential for now, no update
    • Councilman recapped the bond issues on the November ballot; Denver Council will be working with the proponents of the green roof initiative to adjust language after a 6-month waiting period. Adjustments will make the new law less burdensome on small business.
    • No childcare business will be moving in the Bear Valley lot, which would have prevented Native Roots from applying for a license to sell retail marijuana in that location. Councilman Flynn will still work on creative ways to deal with the reapplication of Native Roots in Feb 2019.

        • Holiday party donation drive was a success! 2 big tubs of toys donated to district officer
        • Holiday party review – location worked well again, ornament station for kids was fun but will likely not do it again next year

        • Cara distributed flyers for new Northgate Event Center, just FYI for possible event venue
